Message from the President

SMYLC Board is Kicking Off the 2024 Season:

Hopefully many of you have seen that registration is now open for the 2024 Spring Season. The Board is appreciative of feedback from the prior season and is working to improve the Club based on your inputs.

SMYLC continues to be one of the outstanding Clubs within SMYLA, and we had an outstanding 2023 year:

  • SMYLC had the most teams in SMYLA (7)
  • 6U ended with an undefeated season
  • 10U finished in second place
  • 12U Red won the championship
  • 14U White finished in third place
  • 14U Red finished in second place

In an effort to remain more consistent, we will continue with practices on Tuesday/Thursday nights starting 2/27 with optional Friday skills work at Lancaster. Based on the growing number of players in the Club, we will be splitting teams based on age as needed. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed on many of the upcoming events we have planned. Coach Gill will continue host weekend clinics for new and returning players at the local high schools starting 1/6/2024 from 1-3pm, Saturdays at GMHS Gym and Sundays at SMR Turf. The Club will also host skill clinics on 2/25 and 3/3 at St. Mary's College.

The Club is always in need of volunteers, so if you are looking to get involved either as a coach or board member, please email the Board.

As always, our mission is to grow the sport of Lacrosse in SOMD and support boys of all experience levels so they can enhance their skills and grow their love for the game.

SMYLC loves multi-sport athletes and want to encourage them to be involved in many different sports and activities. Our vision is to provide as many opportunities as possible to play locally with focus on development and improving knowledge, skills, and natural abilities. If you know of a friend or family that is looking to try something new, please have them attend one of the many opportunities we have available!

Go Warriors!!!
